April Drawing Days 24-25

A walkthrough of a piece I did based on my friend Becky's steampunk characters, Conn and Odette Lohengrin.

I started with a pencil drawing using a .7mm mechanical lead.

Followed by inking with a Maru pen-nib, so the lines are little more uniform than if I'd used a G-pen. Deleter Black 5 ink.

Final cleaned up inks.

PT Steampunk Genderflip

This one has a story behind it, and I decided to go ahead and post it here. I don't think too many people look here, so the joke won't be spoiled.

My friend Becky and I are admins for a fan community on DeviantArt for the series Princess Tutu, Club-Tutu. We decided to include the members in deciding the theme for the next contest. Almost as soon as we came up with some prompts, we also came up with a "joke" prompt to see if it could possibly win. This prompt was a combo of Steampunk and Genderflip. We decided to use the loser of the poll as an April Fool's day posting, and it quickly turned out to be this one. So, yeah.
