PT Steampunk Genderflip

This one has a story behind it, and I decided to go ahead and post it here. I don't think too many people look here, so the joke won't be spoiled.

My friend Becky and I are admins for a fan community on DeviantArt for the series Princess Tutu, Club-Tutu. We decided to include the members in deciding the theme for the next contest. Almost as soon as we came up with some prompts, we also came up with a "joke" prompt to see if it could possibly win. This prompt was a combo of Steampunk and Genderflip. We decided to use the loser of the poll as an April Fool's day posting, and it quickly turned out to be this one. So, yeah.

Initial sketch with Col-erase pencils.

Entertain myself

I went out with my mom last night to go hear a lecture on African-American fashion designers prior to the 1960s. Unfortunately, the lecture itself, with a pleasant surprise at the end, was not what I was expected, and was pretty dull. It was painful at one point for mom. At least I got a few good doodles at dinner and at the lecture itself.

This should hopefully lead to something.

Still going, if not always going strong. This one fell back onto so many bad habits, I am ashamed

watercolor exercise 1

I don't do all that much with watercolors. I'm working on that. So today's finished drawing is actually a painting. It's a simple exercise from a how-to paint book, but it got me started. That pleases me.

eyes and pastoral

First, some eye studies based on Kosuke Fujishima.

A pastoral scene with that faun-nymph pair from a while back.
